Is the Canon Rebel T1i better Nikon D90?

The obvious difference in image sensors between the D90 and the Canon Rebel SLR is T1i 15.1megapixels and 12.3 respectively. With these data and applying a bit 'logic would most people came to the conclusion that the Rebel T1i is probably the best deal.
